Bethel Celebration -Day of praise & thanksgiving

Brooklyn, NY -- Sunday October 14th 2007 marked the climax of the 3-week Bethel

Celebration with a Service of Praise and Thanksgiving which also

doubled as an Anniversary Day for the Church Choir under the

Directorship of Mr. Ekow Ortsin.

Preaching on the theme " God's Praise ? A Christian Obligation" the

Rev. Atta Edu Bekoe of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Newark, NJ

interspersed his powerful and soul-uplifting sermon with songs and

hymns and made us all come face to face with how Great and Good the

Lord is and how much a responsibility it is to honor, glorify and

praise Him each passing moment of our lives here on earth.

Then came the climax of the day's activities where the Church Choir,

Singing Band and the various invited Choirs which included the Ghana

United Methodist Church Choir, Bronx, NY, the Ghana Emmanuel Methodist

Church Choir, Newark, NJ and the Ghana Wesley Methodist Church Choir,

Brooklyn NY treated the congregation with excellent renditions of

Anthems and songs to the admiration and enjoyment of all. There was a

dancing galore as everyone took to the floor, gave praise and thanks

to God Almighty for all the blessings he has bestowed on us.

At the end of the Day, one could emphatically say it was a really a

Day of Praise and Thanksgiving and to God be all the Glory.

Bethel: God is certainly here with us always!!!!!
