The former Attorney General and Minister of Justice for the second time in less than a week protested strongly about the actions of some members of the Public Accounts Committee of Parliament.

Appearing before the committee for further engagements on the controversial ¢94 million CP judgment debt saga, Madam Betty Mould-Iddrisu accused a member of the committee, Isaac Asiamah of making derogatory remarks about her in an interview with XYZ News on Monday.

In that interview, the MP for Atwima-Mponuah who had earlier being accused of unfair comments against Mrs. Mould Iddrisu described the accusations as misplaced.

He noted that he had been honest with his comments and was only seeking the good of Ghana. He insisted that Mrs Mould-Iddrisu must be held responsible for the “fraudulent” CP deal.

But on Wednesday, Madam Mould-Iddrisu raised concerns and asked Hon. Asiamah to recuse himself from the committee. However, Chairman of the committee, Kan Dapaah referred her to the Speaker of Parliament, urging her to petition the speaker over the comments of Mr. Asiamah.

“We are not a court of law; we are not going to be able to jail you, we are not able to say whether you are wrong or right, we are only going to express an opinion.

“So I would have preferred that we go about it in the same manner we went about it the last time” Hon. Kan Dapaah said.**
