Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai confirms DCE

Bibiani (W/R), June 9, GNA - Mr Adansi Bonah, the President's nominee for the position of the Bibiani-Ahwiaso-Bekwai District Chief Executive, has received overwhelming endorsement by the district assembly.

All the 52 members voted to approve of his nomination in an election supervised by the Electoral Commission.

Mr Paul Evans Aidoo, the Western Regional Minister, praised the assembly members for their show of political maturity and appealed to them to focus on the job of bringing development to the people and avoid all distractions.

Mr Bonah said he was grateful for the massive show of support and pledged not to disappoint them.

He said he was confident that with unity of purpose, understanding and co-operation, they could together transform the lives of the people.
