Bibiani (W/R), April 7, GNA - Dr Kwaw Ntodi, Medical Superintendent of the Bibiani Government Hospital has appealed to the Ghana Health Service (GHS) to urgently help the hospital to solve the myriad of problems facing it.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency at Bibiani on Wednesday, Dr Ntodi said lack of certain basic equipment and inadequate personnel were greatly hampering effective and efficient health delivery services in the district.

He said the facility lacked adequate doctors and nurses, as well as administrative personnel.

Dr Ntodi complained about the lack of ultrasound machine at the hospital, saying, it had compelled it to always refer cases to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi.

According to Dr Ntodi, the hospital's laundry had been out of service for the past five years and this had resulted in manual washing of patient's used kits, describing it as very unhygienic, especially with bloodstains and human excreta.

He expressed the hope that the GHS would will consider the plight of the hospital and find lasting solutions to the problems.
