Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Junior has charged the playing body, coach, technical handlers and management staff of the Black Stars to ensure the team qualifies from the group to the round of 16 or face the wrath of Ghanaians.
He believes the Stars’ unexpected defeat at the hands of the United States of America was as a result of some revolt in the Stars’ camp.
The seasoned journalist hinted that, though he is not in Brazil, he has up-to-the-minute information on whatever is going on in the Stars’ camp though management of the team wants to blindfold Ghanaians with excuses.
To him, the necessary support the Stars’ needed from Ghanaians will be given but assured that they will face the rage of Ghanaians if they fail to qualify to the next stage of the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
After the Black Stars 1-2 defeat to the United States of America on Monday, reports from the Stars camp suggested that some players expressed dissatisfaction with Coach Kwesi Appiah’s starting eleven to face the USA.
Again, the players were alleged to have demanded their appearance fees from management before the USA game.
Though the Ghana Football Association [GFA] has debunked the allegation and revolt in the Stars camp, the outspoken Senior Journalist insists there are issues.
“Things are going on there in Brazil but we don’t want to talk about that for now. We will keep supporting them to win their remaining matches. They have questions to answer when they return home. For now, we will support them but they will face us at home (when they return),” he asserted on Adom FM.
