Blame JJ not JAK - Hawa Yakubu

Fri, 10 Jan 2003 Source: DAILY GUIDE

The former Minister of Tourism and MP for Bawku Central, Hon. Hawa Yakubu has said it?s hypocritical for a section of Ghanaians to describe President Kufuor?s responses to a series of insults from the former President as ?too harsh? without sending a corresponding advice to the former President to make public speeches with decorum.

She was speaking to DAILY GUIDE in an interview following the NDC?s call on President Kufuor to apologise to the NDC over sections of his Takoradi speech, which cast aspersions on the party and its founder.

The MP said since it takes two to tango, it is incumbent upon the admirers of the former President to send a word of advice to him to stop making statements that continue to drag his reputation into the mud.

She, therefore, called on the good people of Ghana including members of the NDC to advice former President Rawlings to respect himself so that he would also be quite.
