The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the Bank of Ghana (BoG) has announced that it will maintain the policy rate at 17 per cent.
According to the central bank, the latest development is as a result of recent happenings at both the international and domestic front.
For instance, the increase in the US monetary policy rate which has seen high demand for foreign exchange particularly the dollar.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday, 23 July 2018, BoG Governor Dr Ernest Addison, also pointed out that they are monitoring developments on the market and would introduce measures to control inflation.
