As Sunday school attendees, we were always told about the perfect nature of Jesus Christ. Never have we been told the Son of God erred during his time on earth and you can ask your little children about this.
But on the part of Mr. Yaw Boateng Gyan, Jesus Christ was fallible at a point in time on earth and this should inform the NPP that no election could end on a free and fair note.
In an interview with OKAY FM, the NDC National Organizer cautioned the petitioners of the 2012 election case to be guarded by the fact that so far as elections are organized on earth, “there would be faults attached to it”.
He buttressed the above statement by reiterating that after listening to the various arguments raised in court over the past week, he can vouch that organized elections are not free from irregularities.
“If you should do anything on earth and record no irregularities, it means that you are not human. No matter what you do, you have to commit errors....Even Jesus Christ, who was sent by God to save us from sin, realized He had erred when he took on the nature of man....He had to go back to God during His last prayer session to correct some of the things He said,” Gyan said.
According to him, the election petition case would only bring about new electoral reforms, but would not affect the outcome of the results which was declared last year by the chairman of the Electoral Commission of Ghana.
