The Bole District Health Directorate has collaborated with the Bole District Assembly to quarantine a busload of 21 young ladies who moved into the District from Kumasi on Monday 30th March, 2020.
The young ladies were en route to the Sonyo community not far from Bole but were stopped at the outskirts of the Community and later quarantined in a school in the community after their temperatures were taken by the officials from the Bole District Health Directorate.
Speaking to Bole based Nkilgi FM, the Bole District Director of Ghana Health Service Mr David Bakuri confirmed that the young ladies at Sonyo have been quarantined at a school in the outskirts of the Sonyo community.
He said he was called by his staff at the Sonyo Community that a busload of people came to Sonyo and were directed to the Health Post so rushed to have a discussion with the DCE for Bole and a team went to Sonyo to take the temperatures of the young ladies after which the community agreed that they should be quarantined”
Mr David Bakuri said the parents of the young ladies have agreed to feed them till the mandatory fourteen (14) days.
The Bole District Health Director also disclosed that they still lack Personal Protective Equipment and called on the general public to come to their aid.
