A book in honour of Nana Susubribi Krobea Asante, the Omanhene of Asokore Traditional Area in the Ashanti Region has been launched.
The Festschrift titled, "A commitment to Law, Development and Public Policy" was inspired by the great contributions of Dr. SKB Asante towards corporate development and the rule of law.
Speaking at the event in Accra yesterday, Her Ladyship Justice Georgina Theodora Wood (Chair of the event) - commended Dr. SKB Asante for contributions to development of literature through his scholarly writings.
She revealed how he worked hard to help in the establishment of the Ghana arbitration centre for dispute settlement to promote peace building.
On his part, Nana Otuo Siriboe II - Juabenhene who represented the Asantehene Nana Otumfuo II also lauded writers and contributors of the book for taken up the challenge to document the life and career of Dr. SKB Asante.
According to the Chairman of President Akufo-Addo's Council of State, Dr. SKb Asante deserved to be honoured because of his dedication to development through education.
He said for his love to give back to society, Dr. SKB Asante assisted in building the modern Asokore Presbyterian School which has produced a lot of scholars for Ghana.
Nana Otuo Siriboe said Dr. SKB Asante's life was worthy of emulation as his contributions have been identified across Ghana and beyond.
He, however lamented the manner in which the 'modern' day youths behave toward education.
He said it was worrying to see most of the youths lazy about when it comes to issues of development.
He, therefore, advised the youth to learn from personalities like Dr. SKB Asante so as to become useful to society and legends in future.
The honoree, Dr. SKB Asante expressed his excitement about the book in his honour. He said he was grateful his life has had some positive impact on the lives of many.

The book "A commitment to Law, Development and Public Policy" touches on Law and how it contributes to National development. It was put up together by 47 distinct writers and contributors.
It has 699 pages with the first chapter touching on the life and career of Dr. SKB Asante.
It is recommended especially to Lawyers, Judges and students who have interest in reading law and to anyone who wants to know about the life and career of Dr. SKB Asante and the rule of law in Ghana.
