Accra, Sept. 9, GNA - A thirty-one member British trade delegation managed by the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce and Industry are due in Accra today to explore business, trade and partnership opportunities. The Chamber will also pay similar visits to Abidjan, and Lagos.

Mr David Frost, Mission Manager told the Ghana News Agency that 28 British companies are represented on the delegation. He said this is the Chambers' 12th visit to Ghana since 1968 - the last nine in successive years.

"We will be bringing another mission to Ghana and Kenya in April 2000, specifically for the agriculture sector and again in September 2000, covering all sectors". He noted that "Ghana, in importance to UK Trade, is at present our fourth best export market and vies with Kenya which is currently lying third.

Nigeria is second with South Africa first". He said they are happy to be coming to Ghana and hope many opportunities in business and trade will be struck between the Chamber and members of the Ghanaian Chamber.

He said commercial organisations interested in sourcing products or services from British companies are welcome to submit enquiries to the chamber or through their local chamber of commerce.
