Brong Ahafo Ahmadis hold annual conference

Techiman (B/A), Aug. 16, GNA - The 26th annual regional conference of the Brong-Ahafo Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission will be held on August 26 to 27 at Techiman.

The conference would be attended by over 2,500 delegates and under the theme "Adherents to Morality, A Way to National Prosperity". Mr Unas Owusu, the Brong-Ahafo Regional President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission disclosed this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Techiman.

Mr Owusu said the conference, which would be attended by all the nine circuits in the region, was aimed at reviewing the activities of the mission in the region, as well as under-take vigorous study of the Quran.

Mr Owusu hinted that Professor Christopher Ameyaw-Akumfi, Minister for Ports, Harbours and Railways, Nana Kwadwo Seinti, Brong-Ahafo Regional Minister, as well as the Members of Parliament (MP) for Techiman North and South, Messrs Alex Kyeremeh and Addai Simons would be present to grace the occasion.

According to Mr Owusu, other dignitaries expected at the programme would include the Omanhene of Techiman, Oseadeeyo Akumfi-Ameyaw IV, as guest of honour and Maulvi A. Wahab Adam, Missionary in-charge of the Mission, as the chairman of the conference.

Topics such as curbing indiscipline, the role of the religion, proper upbringing of children, HIV/AIDS, Islam solution to the menace among others have been outlined during the conference. He entreated all Ahmadis to attach importance to the conference.
