Brother Sark dares false prophets

…. Over anointing oil, holy water for breakthroughs.

Apostle Kofi Nkansah-Sarkodie, a Kumasi-based Minister of the Gospel and radio pastor has said the world is experiencing a false prophetic era in which Satan is swaying the minds of mankind with the use of items for breakthroughs. He said Satan is currently infiltrating Christendom by the sale and use of anointing oil and holy water and handkerchiefs among others. This practice he said is gaining roots among miracle-conscious Christians.

He noted that such breakthroughs have become monsters in the lives of the people because they (the breakthroughs) are always short-lived.

Apostle Nkansah-Sarkodie, who is the General Overseer of the Open Arms Ministries in Kumasi, told media men in Kumasi that some men of God are preaching prosperity and infusing get-rich mentality in people by tagging oil, water and other items for a price for breakthroughs.

But Apostle Nkansah-Sarkodie also known as Brother Sark in Christian circles, say these items and the practice in itself are satanic and not of God. According to him, whether they are for free or sold, these items are devilish because they are idolatry.

He said from “In the beginning…” in Genesis to “Amen” in Revelation, there is no single quotation that buttresses the point that items are used for breakthroughs of that nature and has therefore challenged any minister of the Gospel across the globe to disprove this claim.

Apostle Nkansah-Sarkodie explained that in the spiritual world an object like talisman and lately anointing oil and water, is given to establish contact with demons for a breakthrough. According to him the object which is a symbol of covenant with Satan is either to be hanged around the waist or neck or buried or planted in premises. In the case of anointing oil and holy water, they are to be applied to the body, or drank or used in food or beverages or for sprinkling and bathing, etc.

He said the use of these items enslaves one and leads to idolatry.

“You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below” – Exodus 20: 3-4.

Apostle Nkansah-Sarkodie said the Lord has promised Christians to go by faith for breakthroughs and that pastors must freely and willingly guide their following for breakthroughs at no cost referring to Psalm 23 and Romans 1:17 to explain. The ever popular Psalm 23 says in part that “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want …..” while Romans 1:17 says to the effect that “the righteous will live by faith from first to last”.

Brother Sark also referred to 2 Corinthians 5:7 regarding the fact that “we live by faith, not by sight”.

The man of God said the phenomenon had been his concern the past 22 years until it gained currency recently culminating in the death of four and injury of several others who were in a mad rush to access a so-called holy water in Ghana. Brother Sark loathed at the way some pastors misquote and misinterpretate the bible to mislead the people and feed fat on them referring to Romans 16:17-18 which reads “I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teachings you have learned. Keep away from them.

“For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people”. Brother Sark is not surprised that this is manifesting throughout the world today as prophesized in 2 Timothy 4:1-5.

The man of God said miracles and breakthroughs through oil and water comes from divine direction which comes once and for a single purpose at a given point in time.

He said when Elisha in the Old Testament used salt in the well to heal and Jesus in the New Testament used sand and spittle, there was no selling and buying of oil or water for such breakthroughs which explains that today’s breakthroughs from the use of anointing oil or supposedly “holy water” are sourced from Satan and are therefore demonic.

Mark 6:12-13 pointed out that “they went out and preached that people should repent. They drove out many demons and anointed many sick people with oil and healed them”. So selling or giving out of oil is neither here nor there. To avert this global phenomenon which has been his focus over the years, Apostle Nkansah-Sarkodie urged Christians to ask for forgiveness for resorting to the use of oil and water for breakthroughs.

He advised them to do away with these items and pull out of the practice completely because there is no biblical basis for their use. According to him, there are genuine pastors and ignorant ones as well as those who are aware that they are agents of Satan and therefore taking away people from God in order to acquire wealth.

Brother Sark admonished such pastors to be cautious of divine counsel as in Jeremiah 17:11 which reads “Like a partridge that hatches eggs it did not lay is a man who gains riches by unjust means. When his life is half gone, they (riches) will desert him and in the end he will prove to be a fool”.

He said men of God should preach salvation and expect miracles in the name of Jesus from the genuine foundation Jesus laid instead of compromising salvation with prosperity and advised people to count on Jesus to redeem them from their problems instead of relying on water and oil for their breakthroughs.

Brother Sark also passionately appealed to Christians to listen to his admonition and expect their miracles through faith by seeking first the kingdom of God and its righteousness in order that all other things would be added onto them as instructed in Matthew 6:33.

He called for God’s blessing for Ghana and all Christians worldwide. END.
