Member of Parliament for Abetifi and minister of state in charge of national security has donated food items worth GH¢20, 000 to the Muslim community in Kwahu East District.
The food items which were presented to the 15 Zongo communities on Thursday, June 14, 2018, included 70 bags of rice and 15 boxes of oil and 75 ablution cans.
Presenting the items on behalf of the MP, constituency chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Isaac Kwaku Addo indicated that the food items are part of the MP’s donation to the Muslim community to complement their efforts as they complete the spiritual adventure in the Holy Month of Ramadan to seek Allah’s favour and blessing.
“This is an annual routine in the district; our Muslim family here know that Ramadan is never complete without the MP sending in donations,” He said.
Hon. Bryan Acheampong urged Muslims to use Ramadan to pray for peace and stability in the country and appealed to them to offer special prayers for the development of the district.
“I have an utmost desire to develop this district and I’ll need your prayers and support to succeed”
Mr. Acheampong also appealed to the Muslims to continue to pray to Allah to guide the President and his team to take the nation to greater heights.
The District Nasara coordinator, Mumuni Rahman received the gifts on behalf of the Muslim community, and thanked the MP for the gesture and prayed to Almighty Allah to bless him, grant him good health and to replenish whatever he has spent on the donations in many folds.
Muslims across the world observed thirty (30) days of fasting to fulfil the third pillar of the Islamic Religion.
