New details have emerged regarding the female customer who was subjected to physical assault by a soldier, identified as WOI William Mensah, at a pharmacy at Burma Camp on October 29, 2025.

According to media personality Saddick Adams, the female victim is reported to be the daughter of the former Provost Marshal of the Military Police.

He explained that the rank of Provost Marshal is a senior military position responsible for overseeing law enforcement, discipline, and security within the Ghana Armed Forces.

The position also ranks higher than the suspect's rank of WOI.

In an X post on Thursday, October 30, 2025, he wrote, “REPORTS: The lady assaulted by the military officer at the pharmacy is the daughter of the former Provost Marshall of the Military Police.

“The Provost is essentially a senior military officer responsible for law enforcement, discipline, and security within the armed forces. He coordinates or oversees all investigations into crimes involving military personnel.”

The incident follows CCTV footage showing the moment the soldier, WOI Williams Mensah, physically assaulted two civilians at a pharmacy.

The suspect is said to have demanded a refund of about GH¢65.00 after rejecting medication he had sent a boy to purchase on his behalf.

The attendant also reportedly informed him that medicines sold are non-refundable, which infuriated the man and led him to assault both the attendant and the woman.

The soldier, while exchanging words with the attendant, pushed a female customer who was also present in the shop and began physically assaulting her. He landed several slaps on the woman's face before proceeding to punch and slap the male attendant as well.

Despite attempts by other people to calm down the soldier, he refused to stop and went after the female customer, who had by then exited the shop after the assault.

After exiting the shop to further attack the woman outside, the soldier returned and grabbed a metallic foldable ladder already in the pharmacy and appeared to threaten the shop attendant while demanding a refund of his money.

Meanwhile, the soldier has been arrested by the Military Police.
