Atwima-Agogo (Ash), Nov. 26, GNA - Nana Okyere Poku II, the newly enstooled chief of Atwima-Agogo, has asked his people to bury the hatchet and chart a new path for development. He regretted that the 15 years of chieftaincy dispute has done a lot of harm than good, leading to stagnation in the development of the town.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency at Atwima-Agogo on Thursday, Nana Okyere Poku, who was enstooled about two months ago, called for peace and unity to enable him and his people together rebuild the town. He said he was prepared to release land to the Atwima-Nwabiagya District Assembly to build more schools and for investors to establish small-scale industries to provide employment opportunities to the youth. Nana Okyere Poku said he has already released land to the Assembly for the construction of a market for the town.

He expressed concern about the deplorable condition of the Maakro-Agogo-Twedie road, which is in a deplorable condition and appealed to the Assembly to rehabilitate it to save them from their present predicament.
