A founding member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Kofi Mintah, has appealed to members of the party to bury their differences and unite to work hard towards retaining power in the upcoming general election.

Speaking to newsmen at Winneba, Mr. Mintah, a former Central Regional Chairman of the party, said the founding members were ready to move to any part of the region to help in resolving any misunderstandings which could affect the fortunes of the party in the upcoming elections.

He urged party executives and well-wishers to inform the founding members about any misunderstandings which could need the attention of the founding members.

Mr. Mintah said even though the indicators pointed to a victory for the NDC in the elections, members must not be overtaken by complacency.

“Let us avoid complacency and work harder than before to ensure overwhelming victory in the first round,” he said.

Mr. Mintah appealed to regional and constituency executives to intensify education of the electorate on the achievements of the government, to let them make informed choices when casting their votes.

“President Mills’ government has done so well in three and a half years and he must be retained,” he said.

Mr. Mintah said the election would be based on achievements and ability to perform and urged members and supporters to propagate the government’s achievements.**
