FC Samartex have arrived in Morocco ahead of their crucial CAF Champions League clash against Raja Casablanca on Saturday, September 21, 2024.
The team led by the technical team, the president of the club as well as management touched down in Casablanca on Thursday afternoon.
The players and the rest of the team will head to their hotel before their first training session later in the day.
The Ghanaian champions travelled to the North African nation after a 2-2 draw in the first leg of the second round of the preliminary stage.
Samartex desperately needs a win or a high-scoring draw to advance to the group stage of the competition on their first appearance in continental football.
The two sides will then lock horns on Saturday at the Stade Larbi Zaouil for a place in the group stages of the CAF Champions League.
Raja will be without midfielder Mohamed Zrida, who will be serving a one-game suspension after receiving a red card in the first leg in Accra.
