Kotoko’s qualification to the group stages of the 2018/2019 CAF Confederations Cup has earned them plaudits from Youth and Sports Minister, Isaac Asiamah.
The Porcupine Warriors on Sunday defeated Coton Sport 2-1 at the Baba Yara Stadium to book qualification to the next round of the competition on a 5-3 aggregate.
The Minister in a statement signed by Public Relations Officer, Gifty Eghan also commended the football fans who thronged the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday to support the club.

The Minister for Youth and Sports, Hon. Isaac Kwame Asiamah (MP) on behalf of Government and the people of Ghana congratulates Kumasi Asante Kotoko for progressing to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup competition with a massive aggregate victory.
The Minister further expresses gratitude to all the fans who filled the Baba Yara Stadium to rafters in support of the Porcupine Warriors to this important win.
Having progressed further to the group stage, the Minister urges the club to do well and reignite Ghana's successes in continental football.
