Never Say Die! The Autobiography of a Ghanaian Statesman has been launched in Accra, Ghana. The book, published by the Ghana Universities Press, is coauthored by Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, a prominent Ghanaian political leader, and the Cape Breton University (CBU) Communication Department's Dr. Felix Odartey-Wellington.

It chronicles Nyaho-Tamakloe's challenging experiences as a soldier, medical practitioner, sports administrator, politician, and diplomat. Never Say Die! has been critically acclaimed as "a memoir of resilience in the face of political challenges...interesting and fast-paced, " a substantial political autobiographic commentary,” and "an important work in the relatively undeveloped field of well-researched biographies of contemporary Ghanaian political leaders."

Other reviews:

"It is an extremely interesting and revealing read about the personal life, the political beliefs and actions of a very outspoken and articulate leading light of the opposition New Patriotic Party..[T]he book is extremely well-written, and his accounts of events in which he was involved are very comprehensive and well-argued." - Graphic Online

"The excellent collaboration between the authors (who are worlds apart-literally) should provoke future politicians to engage the intellectual class in Ghana, to continue the political conversation in this format. In our present mass media climate where access to information is almost unfettered, there should be a fierce urgency to memorialize good intentions and achievements for political and academic scholarship." - Kwesi Tawiah-Benjamin, Modern Ghana.
