Gas Celebrate Homowo Festival

The chiefs and people of the Ga Mashie Traditional area celebrated their annual Homowo festival over the weekend. The occasion was marked with sprinkling of Kpoikpoi, pouring of libation and firing of musketry.

?Homowo? means ?hooting at hunger.? After surviving years of migration and famine, the Ga partied down with an annual feast.

In a goodwill message on the acting president of the Ga Traditional council and Sempe Mantse, Nii Adote Obuor urged all Gas to live in pace and harmony.
