CENAB UK, a Ghanaian advocacy group based in the United Kingdom, calling for political change in Ghana has thrown its weight behind the wind of change blowing through the Ghanaian political landscape.

The group has noted, and supports in full, the faces and of change that are featuring in the NPP Parliamentary Primaries. Noted with particular interest by CENAB UK are faces like Lawyer Philip Addison, former Joy FM presenter Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah, marketing game-changer and CEO of GLO George Andah, media mogul Ken Kuranchie, to name a few who have decided in the name of change to join the NPP parliamentary race. Also noted with excitement is the way the lecturers of KNUST have thrown their weight behind this wind of change by supporting the NPP as the only vehicle to deliver this needed change. Even more so, the group has noted the voices of celebrities in our country, who ordinarily are quiet in the political governance of our country but have now began tweeting for change as as result of the ever-biting DUMSOR. The tweets for DUMSOR to end by the likes of celebrity acting stars Yvonne Nelson and Lydia Forson and the celebrated rapper Sarkodee are all testament to the fact that Ghanaians are fed up of the NDC incompetence.

These are successful people who have excelled in their fields of businesses and enterprises. They are in a premier league of their own but they have decided to abandon their successful private business to respond to Nana Akufo-Addo’s call for public service which requires patriotism, selflessness and service. This is the highest and most rewarding honour that any person can bestow on his or her nation. This is why CENAB UK supports their response and dubs them “The Face and Voices of Change” and it calling on NPP and Ghanaians to accept them as such.

CENAB UK Advocacy Group, which is a broad coalition of patriots, friends, sympathisers, political admirers who believe in Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Dr Mahamadu Bawumia's leadership of Ghana in 2016, as the best engine of change in Ghana believe that the call to duty of these gallant men and women, who are not natural politicians but have stepped onto the plate by the call of patriotism, must be commended and embraced fully by NPP without any conditionalities.

We are pleading with NPP to consider it a great honour to be the party which these personalities have chosen as the vehicle of change and return this honour of those celebrities contesting as candidates in the primaries by doing everything possible to return these persons as parliamentary candidate and support them in an unalloyed manner to become NPP members of parliament.

The delegates of the various constituencies where these persons will be contesting must see the value and the significance of their representations as faces of change and a message to all Ghanaians that change is coming. As a result, we are pleading with the delegates to give them massive support and send a signal to the nation that change is around the corner.

The constituencies that these faces of change are going to contest in the primaries are also very significant. Mostly orphan constituencies from an NPP point of view, the change they represent will also begin to see how NDC represents more of the same-corruption, debt, dumsor, inefficiency, hopelessness, poverty, heartlessness and arrogance, and how these faces represent change, hope, accountability, energy plan, education, fairness in society and good economic plan.

These faces and voices of change present a glorious opportunity for NPP and all Ghanaians to accept them into the new political landscape and present a paradigm change to the face of politics in Ghana.
