CENAB-USA’s Rejoinder: Akufo-Addo’s ‘Real SONA’ ”Stale Propaganda” - NDC

Sun, 6 Mar 2016 Source: CENAB-USA

Our attention has swiftly been drawn by a report filed under your general news of Tuesday March 1, 2016 purporting to reported statements made by Johnson Asiedu Nketia aka General Mosquito, the General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in response to the True State of the Nation as presented by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Monday February 29, 2016. Ordinarily, we would have ignored the General Secretary’s rants and desperation to stay relevant after the damaging expose by NADAA. However, we have decided to respond to the General Secretary because of his penchant to turn any meaningful political dialogue into unsavory personal attacks on the leadership of NADAA. Let us be clear on the issue of the character of NADAA. This is a man who in 2012 gave up a legitimately won election for the unity of his country. This is a man who has been recognized by African and European nations as a man of peace and justice for all. This is a man who has fought against violence and intimidation in our great country for years of which catapulted the careers of many in the NDC. NADAA’s contribution to his community, party and country cannot be impeached hence his constant recall, “I am not corrupt, I have never been corrupt, and I will never be corrupt.”

Invariably, attempting to reason with General Mosquito or appeal to his better nature is about as effective as spitting in the ocean. He has no better nature. In fact he has no empathy for the ordinary Ghanaian because he has tucked his family in a cozy existence in Canada.

General Mosquito does not understand the meaning of what NADAA said neither could he comprehend the meaning of the written text because to him, so much of the meaning of anything said so far depends on context and effect. He has betrayed his personality by going off on tangents and irrelevancies, apparently in the blithe delusion that he understands what the True SONA is and can comprehend the feelings of Ghanaians. It is quite obvious that his rants have revealed his cognitive deficiencies and exposed him to all of us that he is only interested in stuff that affects him personally; the thought of losing the gravy train he is riding. But what the Mosquito did not realize is that, when he and his cronies were creating, looting and sharing, they have forgotten that a time of reckoning will come. General Mosquito, Ghanaians have bought Raid, they are ready to clean the stagnant waters and keep their surroundings clean, the era of the buzzing mosquito sucking their blood and leaving them with headaches and malaria is over. Change is on the way! A new dawn has arrived with proper probity, accountability and transparency. Ghanaians are unhappy and they are reacting to NDC abuse, exploitation and lies.

General Mosquito, we know why you are unhappy. We know you and your family will also enjoy from the benefits of proper governance structure coming to Ghana. You are hurt because NADAA still consider you Ghanaian and nothing else. You are contemptuous of the truth because Ghanaians will see through the lies and propaganda of your government. It does not matter your attack and spewing of load of bile, insult, abuse, contempt and threats, General Mosquito, NADAA has looked at your government’s dishonesty and cruelty with reproach by telling Ghanaians the True SONA and these are facts your insults cannot overturn.

We have already served notice that we will fight any injustice and propaganda with equal measure when our party leadership is threatened. But in this instance, we have seen you are naïve and vulnerable, pathetic really, no matter how arrogant and forceful your words or demeanor. We are agree with NADAA that you and the Mahama administration are so out of touch with ordinary Ghanaians and so disconnected from the suffering of the masses to the extent that you have created grandeur out of mediocrity. So preposterous are your illusions and accomplishments after such gargantuan borrowing that you could boldly water provisioning in our communities as social intervention program. Truthfully, you and your party are in love with yourselves and evaluate constructive criticisms and truth-claims based upon how they make you feel about yourselves. Ghana will always be first in the life of NADAA’s political life. Where the President has done a good job, he will be praised. Where he has blatantly lied and exaggerated his contribution in the countries development we will call him out. Needless to say, you and your party have taken all of us hostages with lies and apathy and irrespective of your insults and vitriol attacks on NPP, the facts still remain, Ghanaians have been taken for a ride for 8 years and CHANGE IS ON THE WAY. This time around, you and your party will not get away with it. Ghanaians have seen and heard about your opulent lifestyles to the detriment of our countries development. You cannot change the discourse by your insults and attack on NADAA. We gave you alternatives before 2012 elections and you and your party called us dooms day party. If you want alternatives, stay in Ghana after the elections and enjoy the Great Change coming.

Long Live Ghana, Long Live NPP, Long Live CENAB.
