CHRAJ honours staff

Accra, Sept 21, GNA - The Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) has presented prizes to some members of staff, a former Deputy Commissioner and some former senior members of staff for their contributions to Commission since its inception 10 years ago. The awards were given at a Dinner and Awards Night on Saturday as part of a weeklong programme to mark the 10th Anniversary of the Commission. Those honoured each received a tee shirt, certificate and an amount of 500,000 cedis.

Members of staff who received prizes were Mr E K Akuamoah Boateng, Mr A K A Agyemang, Mr Eric Baidoo, Ms Elizabeth Kufour, Mr Theophilus Aidoo-Mensah, Mr Kwabena Alagyi, Mr Benjamin Asante, Mr Christian Nyaba and Mr Samuel Abaka, all of CHRAJ Head Office, Accra.

Others from the Head Office are Mr Henry Ashley, Mr Lawarence Lartey, Mr John Akumbavi, Mr Samuel Adedze and Mr E O Bondzie.

Mr C V K Tuadzra from the Tema CHRAJ sub-regional office was also honoured.

Some of the former officials of the Commission were Mrs Angelinah Domakyaareh, Former Deputy Commissioner; Mr Kwesi Adjan Ainuson, Former Chief Administrator and Mr J E P Brown.

CHRAJ Commissioner Emile Short expressed his appreciation to the present and former staff, whose contributions have ensured the success and survival of the CHRAJ.

Present at the ceremony were Dr Ken Agyeman Attafuah, now on secondment from the Commission to the National Reconciliation Commission as Executive Secretary and Dr Victor Ayeni of the Commonwealth Secretariat, London.
