Director - General of Ghana's Criminal Investigation Department (C.I.D) Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah is attending this year's ‘Cycle One' of the FBI's National Executive Institute Session XLII(42).

The highly competitive and much-vaunted course is normally reserved for Chiefs and Deputy Chiefs of Police; but applicants who are not Chiefs but can meet the stringent vetting and qualifying criteria may be selected.

Session XLII(42) has only three non - Americans and the Ghanaian is the only participant from Africa and Asia. The last time a Ghanaian officer attended was some 15 years ago. Participants cover a wide range of subjects on Contemporary Policing.

The Inspector General of Police, David Asante-Apeatu, elevated the Deputy Director General of the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) of the Ghana Police Service, ACP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, to the Director-General position in October last year.
