The Centre of Awareness Global Peace Mission has launched a fund to bolster its efforts in finding a permanent cure for HIV/AIDS and other diseases. The launch was held Monday 26 August 2019, at the International Press Centre in Accra.

Delivering a presentation during the launch, Founder and Executive President of the Centre, Prof. Dr Samuel Ato Duncan, said the vision of the centre is to collaborate with governments and agencies across the globe to ensure global peace. He said among other things, the group sees diseases without cure such as HIV/AIDS, Cancers, and Renal Failures as contributory factors affecting Global Peace.

According to Prof. Duncan, exactly thirteen years ago on 26 August, 2006, the Centre of Awareness Global Peace Mission, discovered a formula through which further research has resulted in the discovery of a potential drug for the cure of HIV/AIDS.

He said, after having spent over $20.000 million on researching into the discovery, a lot still remains to be done in actualising the aim in finding a permanent cure to HIV/AIDS.

“The formula I discovered thirteen years ago has proven from retrospective studies from credible Research Institutions that, it has some potentials of curing HIV/AIDS and the independent research conducted by myself and the Centre leaves me with no doubt that a potential cure for HIV/AIDS has been found in Ghana. I know and believe that if the Centre gets the right equipment and machines for producing the drug, put together researchers to conduct further research on the COA Products using international Standard Protocol set by the WHO and getting Moral and Financial Support, within two to four years, Ghana and the whole world will boast of having cure for HIV/AIDS. The dream of all persons living with HIV/AIDS”

Prof. Duncan called on world leaders for support and collaboration in furthering the research as it is not only going to target the cure for HIV/AIDS but other diseases currently without cure such as Cancers, Hepatitis, Kidney failures and Tuberculosis.

A thirteen-member board headed by the Chairperson of the launch, Osabarima Kwesi Atta II who is the Omanhene of Oguaa traditional area, was sworn in as the Advisory Board for the Fund.

Delivering a speech on behalf of the board after being sworn in, Osabarima Kwesi Atta II, called on the general public, organisations and governments across the world to support the fund in making the objectives of the research fruitful.

“We need money to finalise the research of finding a cure for HIV/AIDS and for us to be well equipped I on behalf of the management of the Centre of Awareness Peace Mission call on you for your support.” He said.
