CPP Elects Flag Bearer Today

All roads leads to the Essipon Sports Stadium where Ghana's founding party, the CPP will be electing its flagbearer for the December election.

Two candidates are vying for the slot.

They are an Accra based Lawyer Bright Akwetey and agronomist Dr Abu Sankara Forster.

About 2,600 delegates will be casting their ballots at the national delegate’s congress which would among other things determine the way forward for the party.

Among speakers expected to address the congress is party chairperson and leader, Samia Yaba Nkrumah.

Our correspondents say the twin city Sekondi-Takoradi is awash with posters of the two candidates vying for the flagbearership.

According to them, delegates have started arriving from all corners of the country.**
