FOR ASOKWA & SUPPORTS HIS WIFE AND CHILDREN

A CPP delegation yesterday visited the family of 2008 Parliamentary Candidate for the Asokwa constituency. The delegation was led by the 2008 Presidential Candidate of the CPP Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom and Dr. T. B. Cofie the Ashanti Region Chairman of the Party. They were accompanied by executives from the ten constituencies in the Kumasi area and regional executives of the Party. Mr. Kwaku Baah Bonsu passed away almost two years ago and left behind a wife Linda Amoh Bonsu and two children, Akosua (8 years) and Kwaku (4 years). Present at the touching and very emotional occasion were the parents of the late Parliamentary candidate and other family members.

The delegation presented food items, some cash and First National “Wo Daakye” savings accounts worth GHC500 to each one of the two children. In addition, Dr. Nduom promised to provide support to the two children to make sure that they can be educated as far as their own talents and efforts will take them.

Mrs. Bonsu thanked the delegation for remembering her late husband. The visit she said was not expected and the love shown to them and the family was unique and demonstrates what the CPP could do to improve the human conditions in Ghana if given the chance. The mother of the late Parliamentary Candidate was impressed by the high level delegation and the fact that Dr. Nduom had surprised them once again as he did during the funeral of their late son by being present himself. She asked for God’s blessings for the CPP, the members of the delegation and prayed for success for the Party.

Dr. Nduom said that the CPP through this gesture was giving true meaning to the word, “comrade”. This he said should show all party members the need to support, protect and promote their own. He added as people who have voluntarily joined a political family, it is important that from time to time CPP members mourn, celebrate, encourage and generally show love. He recalled the enthusiasm and hard work put in by the late Mr. Bonsu and said that it is the positive impression he left that had motivated him and others to remember him and his family.
