Mr Justice E. K. Jones-Mensah, CPP parliamentary candidate for Tema West, has asked Ghanaians to reject the NDC's plea to renew its mandate to continue in government, saying the it has brought nothing but suffering onto the nation.
Speaking at a CPP rally at Tema Community two, 18 miles east of the capital Accra, he said under the 20 years' rule of the PNDC/NDC the economy has been so destroyed that the ordinary Ghanaian can hardly make ends meet.
He said workers have been laid off in the name of "divestiture" and yet the policy has contributed nothing to the revival of the economy. He therefore urged the electorate to vote for the CPP to correct all these reverses and restore the economy to growth.
The CPP ruled the country for 9 years after independence in 1957 and was the first to be overthrown in a military coup. –
