Mr Ramson Yinbil , a 42 year-old Regional Chairman of the Convention People’s Party(CPP) of the Upper East Region was on Saturday endorsed unopposed as the Parliamentary Candidate for Talensi.

Mr Yinbil thanked the delegates for the confidence reposed in him and urged the party delegates to work hard to ensure that the party wins the 2012 election.

He said history had it that the CPP had brought more development projects to the country than the National Democratic Congress (NDC and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He said if elected as Member of Parliament (MP), his top priority would be education and creating the enabling environment to ensure job creation for the teaming youth.

Likening himself to Goliath in the Bible, he expressed optimism that he would defeat other contestants to become the MP.

He impressed upon CPP Party delegates and supporters to do their campaigns devoid of insults, stressing that peace is paramount in the forthcoming election.

Mrs Jean Fellah, Regional Women Organiser of the Party observed that CPP does not discriminate against women.

She said when CPP wins the election it would create the enabling environment for more women to be represented in Parliament and other public positions.

She therefore appealed to Ghanaians to give the CPP the mandate to rule the country so as to turn the fortunes of Ghanaians around.

Mr Clement Bukare, a founding father of the Party stated that all political parties that have come into power have failed Ghanaians and it is only the CPP that could salvage Ghanaians.

He noted that almost every Ghanaian have lost confidence in the NDC and NPP.
