The Convention People’s Party (CPP) has inaugurated a 10-member Communications Team in the Upper East Region.
The team is to help champion the party’s activities in the forthcoming general elections.
Inaugurating the Team in Bolgatanga on Monday, the Regional Chairman of the Party, Alhaji Baba Hussaini Ibrahim, called on them to be mindful of their utterances and avoid being labeled as trouble makers.
“Among your main duties is to help propagate and project the party to win more members, an election and not to foment trouble. The CPP is not a violent party and we will not tolerate it if any of you dents the party’s image with his activities”, the Regional Chairman said.
Mr Richard Adongo, the Deputy Director of Communication, urged the team to research carefully before propagating the ideals of the party.
On behalf of his colleagues, the Regional Director of Communications, Mr Clinton Bukari, pledged to abide by the party’s constitution and to market the party at all levels to achieve good results.
Mr Bukari, who appealed to both the Regional and National Executives to remain committed to supporting them with the needed logistics to undertake their activities, assured the Regional Executives that the Communications Team would endeavour to meet the goals set for them.
The team has Mr Clinton Bukari as the Regional Director of Communications and Mr Musah Ayumah as the Regional Education Secretary.
The other members include Mr Ayeebo Benjamen, Mr Christopher Akuliga, Mr Anafo Benjamen, Mr Kabah Elijah Wabam, Ms Fauzia Abitor Haruna, Mr Bugra Anas, Mr Mohammed Akumbey and Mr Osman Sulemana.
