CST hands-over 240,000 dollars project to school

Accra, June 3, GNA - The management of CST Limited, a wire manufacturing company has handed over a 240,000 dollar fencing project to authorities of Ada Senior High Technical School at Sege in the Greater Region. The three-kilometre wire fence project was undertaken as part of its corporate social responsibility to improve security and safety of the school.

Mr Joseph Akyeampong, Managing Director of CST, told journalists that the project would help solve the problem of land encroachment and create an enabling environment for students to learn. He pledged management's commitment to embark on similar projects in other public schools in the country. "It is our wish that every public school in the country is fenced to bring orderliness," he added. Mr Kwame Atto-Asare, Headmaster of the school, expressed appreciation to the management for the project that would protect the school's property. Mr Alfred Abayateye, Member of Parliament for Sege, said it was government's policy that every public school should be protected from encroachers.

He commended management for its kind gesture and urged other companies to emulate them. CST established 10 years ago is one of the leading manufacturers of quality wire and metal products in Ghana with offices in Accra, Kumasi and Burkina Faso. It currently holds 25 per cent market share of the wire industry, and has a vision to become an international player in the production and sale of wire and metal products. 3 June 10
