The Jaana Yigantu family in the Sissala East District of Upper East is calling on the government to live to its task to ensure justice is delivered at the end of the trial of the suspected killers of the army officer.

“For us as family, we just hope that the security agencies do proper investigations for successful prosecution so that at the end of the day the government will not come and tell us there is no evidence,” he said.

“Over the past few days we have been hearing different stories from difference authorities in government. We want to hear a proper line of communication that this is what the security agencies are doing in their investigations”.

“We are not calling for innocent people to be convicted but we are asking them work collectively to bring us justice.”

According to the family spokesperson, they have begun entertaining some feasr from comments that have been put out by some government officials they believe could affect justice delivery.

“If some evidence are now being tempered with, we could then be heading to International Criminal Court for justice because this is a clear fundamental human rights on a citizen of this country,” he warned.
