They were busted by some residents of Pig Farm who suspected they were criminals. The handbag, a knife and a pair of jeans were found with them.

A complainant, Richard Debrah, driver of a KIA Pride taxi cab with registration number GR 2187 Z told the Ghana News Agency that he was driving around Circle-PTC area at 0200 hours on Monday when two of the suspects bordered his vehicle to Ebony Hotel at Kotobabi. According to him, two other men suddenly came to the scene with knives and asked him to get out of the car.

The complainant said he immediately gave the car to them, walked home and reported the incident to the Kotobabi Police Station. Mr Debrah said he was later informed that his taxi cab had been spotted at Dzorwulu and he, in turn informed the Police of the development.

The owner of the handbag, Ms. Muriel Naa Ofeibea Dodoo, told the Police she was coming from her residence at Dzorwulu to work at 0630 hours on Tuesday when she was attacked by the suspects around the Dzorwulu Special School.

She said while on her way, she noticed that a taxi cab which was initially driving slowly behind her, suddenly sped off. Ms. Dodoo said she was suddenly attacked by men with cutlasses and kitchen knives and her handbag containing 14 Ghana cedis and other personal belongings was snatched from her.
