Founder of CarryGo Farm, Charles S. Agbemashior, has said its unique vertical farming structure constructed from recycled plastic bottles, serves to minimize the land, water, and nutrients required to grow crops.

According to him, it will minimize the cost of buying food because food can be grown by every individual.

Speaking to Ghanaweb, Mr Agbemashior stated CarryGo Farm designs planters from plastics which uses a small amount of water and helps in growing food crops.

“It doesn’t work in the traditional farming system but we use the new farming system,” he added.

Charles Agbemashior further stated that his outfit classifies the vertical farming innovation as an opportunity to develop agriculture and make it attractive to the youth.

“Just as we have soil and you have to feed it with fertilizer, the plastic planter will also need soil and fertilizer to grow the crops,” he explained.

CarryGo Farm is a vertical farming innovation startup aiming to improve the accessibility and efficiency of farming techniques.

It has a comprehensive maintenance and support services that provide schools, farmers, and non-farmers the opportunity to save money on food and increase profits in their businesses.
