The case of the Ghanaian deportee who was maltreated by his German escorts aboard a Soviet airliner, Aeroflot, is being handled at the ministerial level. Mr. Ansu Gyeabour, Controller and Immigration Officer in charge at the Kotoka International Airport who disclosed this JOYFM, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of the Interior, Ghana Immigration Service and the German Embassy, are handling the matter. The four German immigration officers who maltreated Mr Joseph Gyimah, a 30-year-old Ghanaian deportee from Ejisu in Ashanti, whom they escorted to Ghana, left Accra last night for Germany on board a KLM airline. They are Lt. Woisin Gotz, leader, Holtz Axel, Sauer Uwe and Frank Werkmeister, all of Schonefeld Airport Police in Berlin. The four, who refused to talk to newsmen, were seen off by an official of the German Embassy in Ghana.
