Catholic Hospital receives coronavirus medical supplies

The Saint Andrews Catholic Hospital at Kordiabe has received medical supplies worth GHC20,000 to help fight against the spread of Coronavirus pandemic in the country.

The medical supplies donated by Dalex Finance included, boxes of hand sanitizers, packs of face masks and hand gloves, Veronica buckets, hand tissues, gallons of bleach and methylated spirit forms part of the humanitarian services of the company.

Sr. Viji Nedumattathil of the Holy Family Convent Sisters who oversees the hospital, received the items in the presence of the medical staff and the delegation from Dalex Finance.

Mr Eric Asante, Head of Support Services of Dalex Finance, was supported by Mr Yaw Acheampong Adjei, the Corporate Communications Coordinator, presented the medical supplies.

Mr. Eric Asante explained that, in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dalex Finance is committed to the safety and well-being of all Ghanaians and will continue to support government’s efforts in the fight against the virus.

He added that, “frontline workers face an arduous task of managing already existing health cases as well as the COVID-19 pandemic and therefore must be protected at all cost”.

He advised all Ghanaians to continue adhering to the World Health Organization’s directives especially social distancing protocols to stop the spread of the virus. “The world is at war, and we must do everything we can to win”.

He said Dalex Finance has kept long-standing relations with the St. Andrews hospital over the years. In November 2018, the company raised GHC 300,000.00 to aid the construction of a 30-bed ward, a theatre and ancillary units.
