Praise ye the Lord all ye peoples. Celebrate the goodness of the Almighty God. Rejoice blessed citizens and friends of Ghana for the love, mercy and goodness of God towards our country and Africa.

I bring you glad tidings of peace within the walls and prosperity within the households in our country.

At the direction of the Lord God Most High, we present to the people of Ghana an abridged version of sermon we delivered at the House of Worship, Accra, on Sunday, December 7, 2008.

Blessed be the Most High God who has given us rich inheritance in HIS SON, JESUS CHRIST, Saviour, Redeemer of peoples, nations, the human race and creation.

Thanks be to the Lord Jesus Christ who has imparted unto the world the Divine Spirit of Eternal Life, Peace and Joy, Victory and Glory through faith in Him.

Because of His shed blood on the Cross, His resurrection and Spirit of New Birth, humanity has gained access not only to the Father and the Tree of Life but also to the heavenly glory of the Divine nature of the Triune God.

He has opened the way for man not only to sit in heavenly places. Man can be transformed into the fullness of the Divine nature. This is the height of our inheritance or heritage in Christ Jesus.

Beloved it is exciting to know that this great and Holy God who can create, transform and translate things has chosen our nation and her people as HIS NATION, PEOPLE and INHERITANCE among the nations and peoples of Africa and the world. The Bible echoes this in Psalm 33 verse 12 saying, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, And the people whom He has chosen as His own inheritance.”

It is well-known in this regard that Ghana our beloved country is chosen and is now married unto God. Ghana has been declared Beulah Land, and given the name The NEW JERUSALEM. The New Ghana is therefore a nation, people and government of the Most High God and His Kingdom on earth. Christ Jesus is the Messiah, King of Glory and Governor of the New Ghana. He is now the reigning and ruling spirit-power of the country.

In this respect, let me state that Election 2008 is not a battle between Akufo-Addo and Atta-Mills, nor is it a battle between and among the political parties as such. It is a battle between God and Satan for the GHANA HERITAGE, DESTINY and GLORY. It is a battle of who is the God, the sovereign, reigning and ruling spirit-power of the country.

The question at issue in the election therefore is who is the God of Ghana? Who must receive worship and adoration, obedience and honour, and thus who must be ascribed full power, strength and glory in the governance, management and affairs of the land. In short, to whom must Ghana owe allegiance, God or Satan?

The choice before the nation is therefore whether the people of Ghana will accept, honour and allow God the Creator to affirm His election, choice, redemption and establishment of nation, people and creation in His government and heaven kingdom order in the land.

It is in this respect primarily, that we can talk of the NEW GHANA, NEW PEOPLE, the people of God, STAR OF AFRICA. It is with this in mind that the LORD would have the people of the nation remember His grace and goodness upon the land on this day of Election 2008.

The Significance of Election 2008

Indeed, the Lord has directed that church and people must not merely deliberate but celebrate His grace upon the nation. There is no debate in this regard that Election 2008 is an election of great spiritual, political and global significance in the affairs not only of Ghana and Africa but also for many nations of the world and the human race at large.

Spiritually, the election will decide on God’s election, grace and hand upon the nation. Politically, the nation will decide on the spirit and power base of the politics, governance, management and the conduct of affairs of the land. Globally the conduct and outcome of the election will set a pattern for many nations in Africa and the world.

The truth is that the Light and Star of Jehovah God the Creator is risen upon the nation. This is the depth, height and global significance of decision in Election 2008. Election 2008 will raise the Banner of Divine Grace upon Ghana and God Kingdom Glory on earth.

God has chosen and set Ghana apart for this purpose. Ghana will shine, flourish and prosper in God’s heritage and kingdom order. Amen!

Many nations and continents, such as Israel, Europe and the USA have had this privilege, and turn before. Now it is the turn of Africa, led by Ghana to shout and acclaim JEHOVA as God, exalt His name, proclaim Him Lord and raise His Kingdom and banner of Love and Mercy, Peace, Righteousness and Joy in Him, to the world.

The Spirit of the Lord would have the House of Worship, Accra, stand on behalf of Ghana and Africa, the present and future generations to celebrate the Divine grace, honour and glory for Africa. The celebration service will mark Christ’s victory over Satan in the battle for the spiritual heritage, destiny and glory of Ghana and Africa.

The scripture given by the Lord for the celebration is Psalm 100. Psalm 100 stands today as a Psalm of open acclamation of God, Father of Jesus Christ as the God of Ghana and thanksgiving unto Him for His grace upon the nation. The key verse is verse 3(b). It is the verse for joyful declaration: “WE ARE HIS PEOPLE AND THE SHEEP OF HIS PASTURE.”

We claim Jehova God not just as God of Ghana. We declare that we are His people and heritage among the nations of the world. That we totally submit to His sovereign reign and rule and dependence upon His provision and sustenance, protection and defence, as sheep are to the shepherd.

The Psalm calls upon the nation to shout with boldness, conviction and joy, the nation’s acceptance and standing as CHOSEN NATION and REDEEMED PEOPLE, HOLY UNTO HIM GOD JEHOVA (Isaiah 62: 12).

The Spirit of the Lord is inviting nation and people not merely to shout ‘Praise the Lord’ but to engage in and undertake all activities at all levels in the knowledge, obedience and honour of the Creator. From Him power and wisdom, strength and joy for the conduct of the affairs of the land.

For this purpose, there must first be full cognizance of the presence, judgement and control of God in the affairs of the land. Second, every enterprise and the conduct of affairs in the land must be in the spirit of knowledge, thanksgiving, praise and blessing upon the name of the Most High God.

It is in doing this that Ghana can show that she truly knows and honours Him as God, Benefactor, Provider and Protector, the sheep of His pasture indeed. It is true to say in this regard that Ghana as nation and people has become the city of God. His dwelling place in the world and temple for the worship and service of Him Jehova and the showing forth of His glory in the world.

Let Ghana shout, confess and declare with gladness, that the Lord is good. That His mercy is everlasting. That we stand assuredly and solidly upon His truth, the truth of His name, word and promises to all generations.

Beloved, the conclusion of the matter is that God by CHRIST has won VICTORY in the battle for Ghana. By Election 2008, Christ’s victory for the establishment of Ghana in GOD’S HERITAGE on earth and Divine graces in Christ, His Government and Kingdom on earth will no longer be in dispute. Jehova God, is the GOD of Ghana. Christ is the Sovereign King and Ruler of the country.

The Lord God Jehova is walking through the land with His outstretched wings spread over the country. His Mercy, Peace, Protection and Security, Joy, Hope and Gladness, shall be the social reality. The world has seen and is celebrating God’s victory and peace for Ghana with us.

Remember SERVE THE LORD WITH GLADNESS!!! Love and pray for the peace, prosperity and good of Ghana. It shall be well with you and your household. Let all the people praise Him. Let us come with praises, thanksgiving and joy unto the Triune God. Bless His Holy name. Peace and joy be unto all the people.

Blessed be Ghana for ever and ever. Amen!
