The Centre for Social Justice (CSJ) has announced Dr. Amanda Coffie as its new Council Chair.

In a statement issued on September 24, 2024, the centre disclosed that Dr. Amanda Coffie will be taking over from Dr. Sodzi Sodzi-Tettey as the new chair.

The Governing Council of the Centre for Social Justice has appointed Dr. Amanda Coffie as the new Council Chair of the Centre for Social Justice (CSJ), a progressive think tank in Ghana.

With this appointment, Dr. Coffie takes over from Dr. Sodzi Sodzi-Tettey, CSJ's Founder and foundational Council Chair, whose distinguished contributions have helped to nurture CSJ since its inception.

Her appointment takes effect from October 1, 2024.

Background:

Dr. Amanda Coffie works at the Mastercard Foundation as Lead, Country Programs Research. Prior to this, she was a Senior Research Fellow at the Legon Centre for International Affairs and Diplomacy, University of Ghana.

As a researcher, she is committed to social justice, evidence-based research, and a goal to effect transformative change that uplifts and supports the most marginalized.

The Council, Fellows, and Members of CSJ warmly welcome Dr. Amanda Coffie into her new role, knowing that CSJ, under her able leadership, will thrive in advancing the frontiers of social justice in Ghana.
