Let Love Lead NGO, a non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting social cohesion and development, has announced its 2024 general elections flagship event, the +233 Peace March, which is set to take place on Saturday, October 5, 2024.

The peace march, which aims to promote peaceful coexistence ahead of the December 2024 general elections, will bring together prominent organizations and individuals, including the Electoral Commission (EC) and the Office of the National Chief Imam, who have confirmed their participation.

The peace march will commence at 6:00 AM from the Accra Mall, with participants making their way through Opeabea and past the 37 Military Hospital before concluding at the El Wak Sports Stadium. The route has been carefully planned to ensure maximum visibility and participation, symbolizing the march’s message of peace and collaboration.

The initiative will see the active involvement of various stakeholders, including representatives from all political parties, security agencies, religious bodies (such as the Christian Council and the Office of the National Chief Imam), the National Peace Council, local assemblies, and a broad array of civic groups.

By bringing together these diverse groups, the +233 Peace March aims to send a strong and clear message that peaceful elections are not just a responsibility for one group but a shared national commitment.

The march has also extended invitations to several high-profile personalities, including former President John Agyekum Kufuor, celebrities, social media influencers, High Commissioners, Ambassadors, and Ghana’s general public.

Organizers are hoping to leverage the influence of these prominent figures to amplify the march’s impact and encourage a wider audience to prioritize peace throughout the electoral process.

The +233 Peace March is organized by Let Love Lead, a non-governmental organization founded by renowned philanthropist Big Dawood. Since its inception in 2020, Let Love Lead has been committed to providing support to underprivileged children, individuals, and communities in need through its work in humanitarian aid, education, skill development, healthcare, sanitation, and community development.

Let Love Lead’s mission is to enhance the well-being of underprivileged communities by providing them with the necessary resources and support to improve their lives. Through initiatives such as the +233 Peace March, the organization aims to make a positive impact not only in the lives of the vulnerable but also in promoting a culture of peace and unity within Ghana.
