‘Chief Of Staff Snubbed Me’- Nyaunu

It is now clear why Michael Teye Nyaunu, Member of Parliament for Lower Manya Krobo, who doubted Prof. Mills's fitness to run as 2008 presidential candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), vented his venom on his governance style.

Nyaunu, latest addition to the ‘Pissing Crew’ yesterday told Citi fm that he went to the Presidency on three occasions to seek audience with the President but he was denied.

“Three times I was denied, the Chief of Staff gave me his number and anytime I call him, he tells me stories,” he lamented.

He said, as a legislator he went to the Presidency to seek audience with him so that he could put across certain issues of importance but on each occasion he met the brick wall.

He regretted the situation when, having campaigned for the president. “A President I campaigned for… what are you saying, when it is time for campaigning is he going to write me a letter or what?, can’t seek audience with him”, he angrily told the interviewer.

This action by the supposed ‘greedy bastards’ operating at the Christianborg castle one of whom has named by Central Regional Propaganda Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Allotey Jacobs, as being the Chief of Staff only goes to confirms that the President is indeed vindictive. It would be recalled that Ato Ahwoi believed to be one of feared members of the ‘gang of 3’ and a very powerful person in the Mills presidency today exposed the President as a very bitter and vindictive person when the issue of the Spio Garbrah came up.

Ato Ahwoi in his response to Spio wondered why he should want to serve in Mills government when he said that Mills was sick and would never win power, implying that the ‘I’ll Be Father For All’ Atta Mills has never forgiven Spio-Garbrah for their differences when they were campaigning for the NDC’s presidential slot a few years ago and the Rawlings protégé is facing the same for the outbursts last year.

It would be recalled that on 1st February 2008, this very member took then candidate Mills to the cleanest about doubts about his health and called on the party to organize a fresh congress to select a new Presidential Candidate for the party since Mills was battling with his eyes and ear.
