Bomoakpole (W/R), Nov 23, GNA - The Tufuhene of Bomoakpole in the Ellembelle District, Nana Ferguson Ahulu-Ackah, has appealed to government to support them to complete projects the town had started. He said the town was in need of roofing materials to complete a classroom block for pre-school children.

Nana Ahulu-Ackah said this when the Deputy Minister of Energy and MP for Ellembelle, Mr Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, toured parts of the constituency as part of his town hall meetings with his constituents. Some of the towns he visited are Asasetre, Nvenlesolo, Anwia, Teleku-Bokazo, Nkroful and Bobrama.

Nana Ahulu-Ackah called for transparency and fair distribution of the micro-credit finance for women petty traders. Mr Buah assured the people that the loan would be equitably distributed devoid of partisan interest.

He said part of his share of the District Assembly's Common Fund had been earmarked to assist students in second cycle and tertiary institutions. Mr Buah said 11 out of 20 students who are to benefit from the package in the universities have already had their share.

Twenty students in Nursing and Teacher Training colleges have also had their share. Also, 50 students in the senior high schools have also started enjoying part and full payment of their school fees. At Anwia, the MP asked the 2 factions in the town to bury their chieftaincy disputes and give development a chance. Mr. Buah appealed to the traditional council to bring their expertise to bear in order to find a lasting solution to the chieftaincy disputes in the town.
