Bodomase (Ash), Aug 2, GNA - Nana Kwaku Duffour, Akwamuhene of Bodomase in the Sekyere East District, has given the assurance to sponsor the education of a five-year-old kindergarten child of the Presbyterian Primary school in the town to the tertiary level. The Chief, who is also the Assemblyman for the Sawmill Electoral Area of Bodomase, pledged to assist Irene Ofori.
Irene recited a poem at the third open day of the school at the weekend wearing an ordinary dress instead of a school uniform. Nana Kwaku Duffour praised the staff for their dedication to duty and urged them to work harder to improve the standard of education in the school.
The Reverend J.H. Ofosuhene, Ashanti Regional Manager of Presbyterian Schools, appealed to parents to invest in the education of their children. He promised to employ the services of a night watchman considering the distance of the school from the town. Mr Osei Frimpong, the Sekyere East District Director of Education, asked the people to contribute meaningfully to the development of the school. Mr Samuel Kokroh, the Headteacher, appealed to parents to provide their children with their educational needs to facilitate teaching and learning.
