The Vice President of the Central Regional House of Chiefs, Obrempong Appiah Nuama II, has vowed to support government to execute its policies to improve the livelihood of the people in the region.

He, therefore, urged government to continue projects in the Twifo Atti Mokwa District started by previous administrations, such as the Pra Bridge construction, to enhance value for money.

He drew the attention of government to some deplorable roads linking Twifo Praso to Assin Fosu, Dunkwa-on-Offin and Cape Coast.

He described the situation as worrisome and affecting smooth business with the affected towns.

He made these remarks when the Central Regional Minister, Kwamena Duncan, paid a courtesy call to the Paramount Chiefs in the Twiffo Atti Mokwa and Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira Districts in the region.

Obrempong Appiah Nuama II, who doubles as the Paramount Chief of Twifo Traditional Area, pledged 60,000 acres of arable farmland to support government's One-District-One-Factory initiative.

The Paramount Chief of Atti Mokwa Traditional Area, Oseadeyo Akwesi Keni IV, also seized the opportunity to appeal to government to hasten the construction of a 60-bed capacity hospital to enhance health care delivery in the district.

Responding to the demands of the Twifo Traditional Council, Mr Duncan pledged government's commitment towards Twifo’s infrastructure development, including completion of the district hospital.

He then inspected construction works of a 6-unit classroom block and a district hospital at Twifo Praso.

Mr Duncan later commissioned a CHPS Compound at Twifo Mfuom, where he advised health care deliverers to be professional in their duties.
