Ho (V/R), June 20, - The National Executive Council of the Chietaincy Workers Association of Ghana has approved a code of conduct for its members. Mr Akwasi Asare Ankomah, national president of the association, announced this at Ho yesterday when he addressed registrars and representatives of 15 traditional councils in the Volta region at the end of the council's two-day meeting. The meeting planned its congress to be held in August, this year in Tamale. Mr Ankomah told the workers that the code abhors drunkenness during working hours as well as shabby and indecent dressing to work. The members are expected to promote discipline at their work places and to obey authority at all levels while exhibiting honesty. Addressing the members, Togbe Dagadu the seventh, president of the Volta region House of Chiefs who is also paramount chief of Akpini traditional area, congratulated the council for drawing up a code of conduct for its members. Togbe Dagadu who is also a member of the Council of State, assured them of the co-operation of chiefs to promote an excellent working relationship in every traditional area. He asked the council not to hesitate to approach the various houses of chiefs for assistance for the smooth running of the association and the institution of chieftaincy. Togbe Adja Tekpor the sixth, Osie of Avatime, was among those present.
