Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong has described comments from former President John Dramani Mahama regarding violence in the 2020 polls as childish indicating that it is not the birthright of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to him, the NDC always resort to violence whenever it needs something, warning that others have violent traits in them just that they have decided to shelve theirs.

He served notice the NPP will never sit aloof and watch Mahama and his cronies destroy the country they have fought for.

Mr Agyepong made this comment on NET 2 TV in reaction to claims by the former President, that if Jean Mensa and her EC does not pay heed to their calls to stop compiling a new voterss register, they will be blamed for any chaos that erupts after the December polls.

He challenged them to bring it on.

“What he said means that if he does not get what he wants he will resort to violence.

It is not just that NDC which was created to be violent. They resort to violence anytime they need something. We will not sit down for NDC to destroy this beautiful country. I’m not a soldier neither do I have any power but people listen to me so we will not sit down for the NDC to destroy our beautiful country”. He warned.

The Legislator described the utterances by the former President as childish indicating that if people outside the country see him talking like that it speaks volumes of his childish personality.
