The Chinese Ambassador, Shi Ting Wang, has donated computers and accessories to the Osudoku Traditional Area to strengthen Information and Communication Technology (ICT) education in the area.

In addition to the 15 desktops, three laptops, three projectors, and three printers, the Ambassador also donated 12 footballs and 15 basket balls to enable the children to develop their talents in sports.

The computers were donated following a request made by the chiefs in the traditional area to help rope in children within the locality in the world of technology.

At a short ceremony in Accra to hand over the items, the Ambassador noted that China had developed mainly due to huge investments it made over the years in its educational system; saying that had rippling effects in all sectors of county's development.

He expressed the hope that "the computers would mean a lot to children in the area", and charged the community members to take good care of the computers in order to benefit lots of children.

Nene Ogah Osuagbo I, a Sub-Chief of the Paramountcy, who received the items, noted that for children in the area to be competitive in the technological world, there was the need to make teaching and learning materials in functional ICT education available to them in their schools.

That, he said, would make teaching and learning of the subject easier for both teachers and children.

Nene Osuagbo expressed his appreciation to the ambassador for thet gesture and stated that there were a number of Chinese companies doing business within the area along the Akuse area, and there were plans to form the Osudoku Ghana China Friendship Society to strengthen the already existing community-level bond between the two sides.
