Accra, May 6, GNA - The Young Liberals Forum of the Third World (YLF), a group that is tilted to the New Patriotic Party (NPP), says its survey has found that the Minister of Water Resources, Works and Housing, Alhaji Abubakar Saddique Boniface is the most preferred person to partner Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the December election. The paper, prepared by Mr Danel Agyen-Twenboag and Mr Joseph Kwadwo Danquah stated that the survey used six names that were based on forecasts by the media. It said 280 respondents from 28 constituencies in the 10 regions were used for the survey.

The names were Mrs. Oboshie Sai-Cofie, Hajia Alima Mahama, Alhaji D.N. Jawula, Alhaji Boniface, Sheikh I.C. Quaye and Alhaji Mustapha Iddris.

Other names that were mentioned by respondents were Alhaji Aliu Mahama, Dr Mohamed Ibn Chambas, Mr Dan Botwe, Mr Issac Osei and Mr Alan Kyerematen.

"Alhaji Saddique Boniface seemed to have topped the group in terms of recognition, who the respondents think can partner Nana Akufo-Addo and preferential match," the group said.

The group recommends that the party should choose a committed party person, a candidate with national appeal, a good religious blend, a submissive character, a team player and someone with a proven track record of performance. It said if the party chose Alhaji Boniface, it would "yield the landslide victory dividends that the NPP expects in the December 2008 elections".
