Ghana winger Christian Atsu is showing blistering form at Everton after scoring twice in a behind closed doors friendly match on Monday night, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The talented player was in action for the Toffees as they beat Fleetwood Town’s U-21 team 5-0 as the Ghanaian showed dexterity and his value to his new club.
Atsu looks ready to be unleashed on the English Premier League following his performance in the match and his combination with Mirallas was hugely praised by those who saw the match.
His performance looks to have convinced Coach Roberto Martinez that Atsu is ready to play in the English top-flight following his loan move from Chelsea.
If he plays on Saturday against Arsenal remains to be seen, but there is no doubting that Roberto likes the look of his new recruit.
Roberto said: “He’s doing really well. I think Christian is such an intelligent footballer. I think when you see a player at such a young age, you worry if he can adapt quick enough.
“With Christian it has been incredible the way he understands the surroundings. He can interact with his team mates so quickly and the type of player he is, he’s going to be such an important player for us.”
