Christian youth leadership summit ends

The maiden edition of the annual Christian Youth Summit has ended with a caution to the youth that in their desire to please or impress their superiors, they should not go too far in displaying their talents or they might accomplish the opposite by inspiring fear and insecurity.

Rather they are to always make those above them feel secured and comfortable.

The Communications Director of the Living Grace Ministries, Francis Owusu-Ansah, gave the caution during the climax of the summit in Sunyani under the theme, “Building Power for Success”.

“Make your bosses appear more brilliant than they are and you will attain the heights of power in 2011 and beyond”, he said. Mr Owusu-Ansah, the brain behind the summit, counseled the youth never to put too much trust in friends, but surprisingly, learn how to use enemies.

“Be careful about friends because they will betray you out of envy. They also become spoiled and tyrannical. But hire a former enemy and he will be more loyal than a friend, because he has more to prove”, he pointed out and added that “In fact, you have more to fear from friends than from enemies and that if you have no enemies, find a way to make them”.

The Communications Director, who was the lead speaker at the summit, charged the youth to keep people off-balance and in the dark by never revealing the purpose behind their actions. “If people have no idea what you are up to, they cannot prepare a defense and by the time they realize your intentions, it will be too late”.
